In the age of uncapped Wi-Fi and unlimited connectivity to the world it's very rare to find shit that stands out, everything and everyone sounds and looks the same so when you find an outlier then you know it's special. *Insert the band ''Internet girl'', an alternative indie punk rock band that hails from South African and is currently making some of the best music in the country.
They sound like they stepped out of a time machine from the year 2006, they encapsulate everything I love early 2000's punk rock, the care free adolescent outlook on life mixed with summer vacation vibrations and melodies Blink 182 would be so proud of. Probably one of the most exciting acts to come out this year and what I love is that no one out sounds like them, like nothing in the current South African pop culture Soundscape even remotely resembles this. They are creating what they want & how they want and are not influenced by whats happening around them, it's beautiful to watch. They dropped a self titled EP on their soundcloud last year with 5 tracks that really shows their range and is the perfect soundtrack to the moodboard of falling in and out love and is a must listen for avid music listeners looking for new vibes.
