OSCAR MBO IS KEEPING SOUTH AFRICAN HOUSE MUSIC ALIVE

In a time where the LogDrum has completely taken the world by storm and made Amapiano a global genre Oscar Mbo is South Africa's last "House Defender". Since he broke out into the scene in late 2019 with his debut EP "Love & Life" he has steadily been producing some of the best house music on the planet and keeping the genre very much alive.

His latest project "Groovy Since 90 something" with his long time collaborator C-Blak is another example of the level of music Mbo is making. With every project he keeps refining his sound and he is at the point now where he can go toe to toe with any house producers in the world. South Africa has always been one of the leading dance nations in the world and for over a decade between the late 90's and mid 2000's it was the house music capital. The most popular dance music in South Africa is always changing according to the current youth generation of the time but the one genre that remains a constant is House music.

Amapiano is the fatest growing genre South Africa has ever created and in the space of 4 years has become a global phenom. In a time where majority of the artists in the country are making Piano Oscar Mbo has chosen to remain steady in his rythm with House music. He has chosen to follow his heart and love for genre and due to the fact that majority of the artists are making Piano it makes it easier for him to shine. From us here at The Gold Axis we applaud Oscar Mbo and if you haven't heard his new project "Groovy Since 90 something" make sure you stream it.
